Hearken to your grief
let it illuminate your intimacies, the desires left unspoken,
broken hearted, broken promised

Lay your future ghosts to rest
what was, what is, and what will be,
honor them

And for what no longer can be,
befriend the unbearable
through this pain and tears,
are whispers of what still matters most
